Experienced gardeners know cedars are not the best evergreen trees for southern Alberta's climate due to the dry chinook winds we encounter throughout the winter season. If you want year-round greenery, your best bet is choosing one of Eagle Lake's hardier evergreens. We carry many varieties of trees well suited for Alberta's zone, ranging from smaller pines such as Mugho, Dwarf Mugho and Slowmound to larger varieties like Lodge Pole, Bristlecone, Mountain, Swiss Stone and more.

Eagle Lake also grows evergreen shrubs for all your gardening needs, from creeping junipers such as Calgary Carpet, Arcadia, Savin, Blue Chip and Prince of Wales to upright varieties including Cologreen, Wichita, Medora and Moonglow.
