Reception & Administrative Assistant
Andrea is the first smile you’ll see when you walk through our office doors. She’s at reception, handles admin and provides support to sales, grounded in customer service.
In her words: “I’ve got the best view of people!” She also witnesses the natural cycles over seasons and the changes over time from where the nursery started to where we are now.
Get to know Andrea
She believes that anyone can be trained and learn to work with plants, as she demonstrated: “I couldn’t keep anything alive and all my friends laughed… now I have a demonstration garden at home!” Andrea started to first learn about plants to talk to people, built a foundational knowledge and then over years, started to love and respect plants.
The best part of this industry for her is the people. Their love for nature and plants is contagious and, “you can’t rush them, there’s a natural place you have to follow with plant-lovers.”
Andrea feels strongly that there needs to be more emphasis on the importance and beauty of nature, over concrete and glass, in order to draw the next generation of horticulturists in. She respects the lessons of resilience and progress in nature, teaching us that there are no mistakes, only lessons to learn.
Andrea is our Mission personified: “I am the living, breathing, walking testament that Eagle Lake Nurseries grows people that grow plants… not in a million years would I have taken care of plants!”
