Deciduous Trees
Swedish Columnar Aspen
Populus tremula ‘Erecta’
Prairie-grown, prairie-ready plant material for landscape contractors: field-dug caliper trees, potted trees, container shrubs and perennials, with a wholesale account, quoting, and pickup or delivery from our farm near Strathmore.
You are the last trade on site. By the time you arrive, the grades have changed, a lamp post is where a tree was supposed to go, and the client wants it finished by Friday. What you need from a nursery is simple: the plants on your list, in the sizes you ordered, ready when you said you would pick them up, and a straight answer when something changes.
Eagle Lake Nurseries grows trees, shrubs and perennials together on one farm near Strathmore, so a full plant list can come from one place instead of three. Our team picks your order for you, and we select every tree individually. When a plant on your list is short, we call you with a substitute that suits the site before we pack it, not after.
We have been doing this since 1970. We know what spring looks like from your side, and we work hard to keep you moving.

Open a wholesale account. It is free, and once it is active you can see pricing and availability and order online. You can also call or email your orders to the sales team. We aim to process and confirm every order the same day.
In spring, give us as much notice as you can. The ground thaws, every job starts at once, and the more lead time we have the better we can hold what you need. For pickup, come to the office first for your paperwork, and bring a tarp. For delivery, we need 48 hours' notice and someone on site to unload.
New accounts are cash on delivery. Credit terms are available on application once your account is open.
Everything we field-grow has been through Alberta winters on our farm before it goes to your site. That is the difference between a tree that looks good at delivery and one that is still there in five years.
Our crews pick each order, and trees are chosen one at a time. If you cannot be here to choose, you can trust that someone who knows the stock did.
We are members of Landscape Alberta and the Canadian Nursery Landscape Association, and we are at the trade shows you are. Members of the Calgary Horticultural Society receive a special discount.
Not the same day. Every order is picked and prepared, and every pickup needs paperwork and loading support. Give us notice and we will have it ready when you arrive.
Stock moves quickly in season. If something you reserved shows as unavailable, call the sales team and we will tell you what happened and what we can hold for you.
Pricing is set each season and we cannot carry an older price list forward. If you are budgeting ahead, ask the sales team for the current list as early as you can.
No. We grow and supply. Installation is your trade, and we are happy to talk through planting and early care for anything we send you.
We sell in nursery grades, following the Canadian Nursery Stock Standard, so a #5 shrub or a 60mm caliper tree means the same thing on every order. Garden centre pots and labels are not always comparable.
Our picking crew flags it early, and we call you with substitutes that suit the site by colour, size and exposure. Nothing is swapped without your say.
No warranty on plant material. Inspect at pickup or delivery, tell us within 24 hours if something is wrong, and we will work with you on a solution.
