Get to know Angela

Angela’s connection to plants blossomed when she moved from a city suburb and the concrete jungle to a small rural town where she started gardening and has now built a food forest. Ironically, she muses that her earlier career in the mail and printing industry was working with dead trees (paper). She now applies that same accuracy and precision in her accounting work.

She loves being in a family-run company that donates to local organizations and gives back to the community, and especially working on the farm, “the crunch of gravel under my feet, hearing the birds sing, being in nature and enjoying peace of mind.”

Angela values growing not just plants but the culture of people on our team, feeling supported by a lot of strong women and sharing with others in an industry that is more cooperative than competitive.

There’s a strong care and stewardship of nature that she hopes will be carried forward so we aren’t just taking from nature but we’re giving back in balance. She encourages future generations of horticulturalists to see their career path as “a neverending learning opportunity, to be open and grow with… not just about becoming more efficient but being eco-friendly.”
