Balmy Lilac Bee Balm
Monarda didyma ‘Balbalmac’
Balmy Lilac Bee Balm is a compact, resilient variety valued for its dense clusters of soft lilac flowers and strong mildew resistance.
About Balmy Lilac Bee Balm and growing it in Alberta
Blooming early, it brings vibrant colour and attracts pollinators to small gardens, borders, and containers. Thriving in full sun with well-drained soil, it tolerates drought and resists deer. Combining native hardiness with improved form, it offers ecological benefits, though monitoring may be needed for powdery mildew in humid or crowded conditions.
