Engelman Ivy
Parthenocissus quinquefolia ‘Engelmannii’
Engelmann Ivy is a fast-growing, dense, deciduous vine with lush green, five-lobed leaves that turn vibrant red and purple in fall, adding striking seasonal colour.
About Engelman Ivy and growing it in Alberta
It produces small greenish flowers and dark blue-black berries that attract birds and wildlife. Cold-hardy and adaptable to most soil types, it is easy-care and pest-resilient. Ideal for covering walls, fences, trellises, or creating natural screens, occasional pruning controls spread and promotes healthy, vigorous growth year-round.
