About Honeyberry and growing it in Alberta

This fast-growing plant is well-suited to colder climates, thriving in moist, well-drained soils and full sun to partial shade. Ideal for edible landscapes, attracting both pollinators and gardeners with their sweet-tasting fruit. With its dense, bushy habit, also makes an excellent choice for hedges or windbreaks. Though generally simple to care for, the plant benefits from regular pruning to encourage fruit production and manage its size. We have many varieties available for cross-pollinating, including Aurora, Boreal Beast, Boreal Beauty, Borealis, Tundra, Strawberry Sensation, and Honey Bee.
