Ornamental Onion
Allium angulosum
Ornamental Onion is a clump-forming perennial admired for its striking lavender-pink, pom-pom-like blooms held aloft on slender stems above fine, grass-like foliage.
About Ornamental Onion and growing it in Alberta
Thriving in sunny, well-drained sites, it tolerates poor soils and drought, making it ideal for borders, rock gardens, and pollinator-friendly plantings. Drought tolerant and deer and rabbit resilient, its foliage may fade after flowering, yet the vibrant blooms provide long-lasting seasonal interest and garden appeal.
