Pulsatilla vulgaris
Prairie Crocus is an early spring perennial valued for its nodding, bell-shaped flowers in shades of purple, red, or white, which are followed by feathery seed heads and finely divided, silky foliage.
Compact and low-growing, it adds charm to rock gardens, borders, and naturalized areas. Thriving in full sun with well-drained, often alkaline or sandy soils, it is drought tolerant once established, deer resilient, and low-input. Overly wet conditions may cause root rot, but its early blooms make it a standout in spring garden displays.
Since 1970, our values of honesty, hard work and excellent customer service have kept us growing strong.
