Prairie Smoke
Geum triflorum
Prairie Smoke is a charming native perennial valued for its nodding pink flowers that bloom in spring, followed by distinctive feathery seed heads that add texture and movement to the garden.
About Prairie Smoke and growing it in Alberta
Ideal for rock gardens, prairies, and native plantings, it thrives in dry, well-drained soils and full sun. Early blooms support pollinators, and its airy form provides summer interest. Good drainage is essential to prevent root rot and maintain plant vigor.
