Amelanchier alnifolia
Saskatoons are hardy, multi-stemmed shrubs or small trees celebrated for their early spring white blossoms, edible blue-black berries, and brilliant fall foliage.
Native to the Canadian prairies, the Saskatoon thrives in a wide range of soils and tolerates drought once established, making it a resilient choice for shelterbelts, wildlife plantings, and urban landscapes. Its berries attract birds and pollinators while also serving as a nutritious treat for humans. Generally undemanding, but may face issues with powdery mildew or rust under prolonged wet conditions.
Since 1970, our values of honesty, hard work and excellent customer service have kept us growing strong.
