The Rocket Ligularia
Ligularia stenocephala ‘The Rocket’
The Rocket Ligularia is a tall, striking perennial renowned for its large, toothed green leaves and dramatic vertical spikes of bright yellow flowers that bloom in midsummer.
About The Rocket Ligularia and growing it in Alberta
Perfect for shade gardens, woodland edges, and moist or boggy sites, it adds height, texture, and year-round interest. Thriving in cool, partially shaded environments, it supports pollinators and wildlife. Low-maintenance when watered adequately, it may experience leaf scorch in full sun or dry conditions; mulch helps retain soil moisture and suppress weeds.
